Agriculture and Reforestation

One tree at a time

We follow practices of Regenerative Agriculture. We respect the soil and all life that inhabits it. Bacteria and fungi are essential for the availability of nutrients to plants. We grind the prunings of the olive grove and carefully prune each of the olive trees. In the center of our olive grove, we have implemented a 750m2 experimental agroforestry system focused on production of mullberries, citrus, vines and strawberries (among many other species). This place serves as a place for research, education, leisure and production. It is also seen as a living seed bank, from where these species can naturally disperse throughout our land and region.
Our vegetable garden aims to provide a variety of quality products for agritourism cuisine and is implemented between the olive grove lines. We favor traditional varieties and use biofertilizer from in situ composting of organic kitchen waste, closing the organic cycle.
Every year we increase the number and variety of trees around the house, along the watercourse and along the entire border, favoring native species essential for ecosystem resilience.
